Sensors for the Aerospace Industry

High-precision proximity and analog sensors for aerospace component manufacturing, tooling and inspection. Repeatable, IP68 rated. Made in Mumbai.

Aerospace component manufacturing is defined by traceability and tolerance. Sensing equipment in this sector is chosen for repeatability and documented consistency rather than lowest unit cost.

What matters in aerospace manufacturing

  • Repeatability over range. A sensor that triggers at the same point every time is worth far more than one that reaches further but drifts.
  • Batch consistency. Replacement parts must behave identically to the ones they replace, so a fixture does not need re-qualification after routine maintenance.
  • Analog measurement for gap, runout and thickness verification, where a switching signal cannot provide the data the process needs.
  • Documentation. Specifications supplied against each batch so the quality system has something to reference.

Where our sensors are used

  • Machining centres — tool position, slide travel and part-present verification in coolant.
  • Fixtures and jigs — clamp confirmation and correct part seating before machining.
  • Inspection and gauging — analog 0–10 V and 4–20 mA sensors for gap and runout measurement.
  • Assembly tooling — position confirmation and sequence interlocks.
  • Composite and sheet-metal forming — press position and safety guarding.

Analog sensing for measurement

Where a process needs an actual dimension rather than a present/absent signal, our analog proximity sensors give a linear output across an 8–15 mm window. That supports gap verification, runout checking on rotating parts and thickness confirmation, feeding directly into a PLC or data logger for recording against the batch.

Frequently asked questions

Can you supply specifications documented against each batch?

Tell us what your quality system requires and we will confirm what we can provide. Being clear about documentation needs at the enquiry stage avoids problems at first-article inspection.

What measurement resolution can your analog sensors achieve?

Repeatability is 5–10% of the sensing distance, giving a practical resolution of a few tenths of a millimetre across the working window. If your tolerance is tighter than that, an inductive analog sensor is not the right technology and we will tell you so rather than sell you one.

Sensors for your aerospace application

Send us your application — target material, sensing distance, supply voltage and housing constraint. We will recommend a part, quote it, and ship from Mumbai.
