- Output configuration — PNP or NPN, normally open or normally closed.
- Cable length — 2 m standard, longer lengths on request.
- Termination — flying lead or M12 plug-in connector.
- Housing — chrome-plated brass, stainless steel, or rectangular block.
- Mounting — shielded (flush) or unshielded (non-flush).
- Supply voltage — 10–30 V DC or 230 V AC where applicable.
Frequently asked questions
Why use an SSR instead of a contactor?
Because temperature control means switching constantly. A PID loop cycling every few seconds runs a contactor through millions of operations a year, far beyond its contact life. An SSR has no contacts to erode or weld.
What size heatsink do I need?
An SSR dissipates roughly one watt per amp of load. Tell us your load current and panel ambient temperature and we will recommend a heatsink — under-sizing it is the most common cause of premature SSR failure.
Can an SSR switch a motor?
Standard units are specified for resistive loads. Motors are inductive with high starting current and need an SSR specifically rated and de-rated for motor duty. Tell us the motor rating and we will advise.
