Where a machine runs on mains voltage and there is no 24 V DC supply in the panel, a 230 V AC proximity sensor lets you switch contactors, solenoid valves and indicator lamps directly — no separate power supply, no DC rail to add.
Direct mains switching
The sensor wires in series with the AC load exactly like a mechanical limit switch, which makes it a straightforward swap when you are replacing worn micro-switches on older machinery. Because there are no moving parts and no contacts to burn, service life is far longer than the limit switch it replaces.
Safety note. Mains wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician, with the supply isolated and locked off. Confirm the load current stays within the sensor rating before commissioning.
Key features
- Direct 230 V AC operation — no DC power supply required in the panel.
- Drop-in limit switch replacement — same series wiring, no contacts to wear out.
- 50 Hz industrial supply compatible.
- IP68 brass housing for wash-down and dusty environments.
- LED status indication for commissioning.

How to order
Tell us the sensing gap, the target material, your supply voltage and the output type your controller needs. If you are replacing an existing sensor, a photograph of the body markings is usually enough for us to identify an equivalent. We will confirm the specification and quote — normally the same day.

Frequently asked questions
Can a 230 V AC proximity sensor drive a PLC input?
Only if the PLC has AC input cards rated for 230 V. Most modern PLCs use 24 V DC inputs, in which case order the DC version instead, or switch an interposing relay from the AC sensor.
Does it work on a 415 V three-phase supply?
The sensor connects between one phase and neutral at 230 V. It must never be wired across two phases. If your machine has no neutral available, tell us and we will suggest an alternative.
Need a quote for the 230 V AC Proximity Sensor?
Send us your application — target material, sensing distance, supply voltage and housing constraint. We will recommend a part, quote it, and ship from Mumbai.
