Safety light curtains protect hazardous machine zones with an invisible barrier of infrared beams. Break any beam and the machine stops. Unlike a hinged physical guard, a light curtain leaves the opening completely clear — so it never slows the operator down and never gets defeated.
Our IR safety guard runs on 220 V AC with a 5 A rating, covers an effective range of 5 metres, and carries LED status indication in a slim 26 mm corrosion-resistant housing.

Every product in this category can be adjusted to your application. Specify any of the following at enquiry and we will quote against it:
- Output configuration — PNP or NPN, normally open or normally closed.
- Cable length — 2 m standard, longer lengths on request.

Frequently asked questions
How far from the hazard must the light curtain be mounted?
The safety distance is calculated from the machine's measured stopping time, the curtain's response time and the beam resolution. It is never a fixed number. Have the installation assessed and verified by a competent safety engineer.
Can it be retrofitted to an existing power press?
In most cases yes, provided the press can be stopped reliably mid-stroke and its stopping time is known and repeatable. On an older machine, have the brake assessed first — a light curtain cannot protect anyone if the press cannot stop in time.
What size is the standard unit?
35 × 35 × 300 mm with a 5 metre effective range, 220 V AC at 5 A. Tell us the opening height you need to protect and we will confirm what we can supply.
