A control unit sits between your sensors and the machine, converting a low-power sensor signal into relay contacts that can drive a contactor, solenoid or alarm directly. It is what lets you build a working control scheme on a machine that has no PLC.

Every product in this category can be adjusted to your application. Specify any of the following at enquiry and we will quote against it:
- Output configuration — PNP or NPN, normally open or normally closed.
- Cable length — 2 m standard, longer lengths on request.
- Termination — flying lead or M12 plug-in connector.
- Housing — chrome-plated brass, stainless steel, or rectangular block.
- Mounting — shielded (flush) or unshielded (non-flush).
- Supply voltage — 10–30 V DC or 230 V AC where applicable.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a control unit if I have a PLC?
Usually not — a PLC input reads the sensor directly. Control units are for machines with no PLC, or where a function must be hard-wired independently of the main control system.
What can the relay output drive?
Contactor coils, solenoid valves, alarms and indicator lamps. For motors, use the relay to energise a contactor rather than switching the motor directly.
