The timer control unit adds a time element to sensor switching. Instead of the output following the sensor instantly, you can delay the start, extend the finish, or convert a long signal into a fixed pulse — all set on the unit, with no programming.
Timing functions in practice
- On-delay — the output waits a set period after the sensor triggers. Useful for ignoring brief signals so a passing splash or a momentary vibration does not start the sequence.
- Off-delay — the output stays on for a set period after the sensor releases. Used to keep a fan, conveyor or air blast running after the last part has passed.
- Pulse output — a fixed-length pulse regardless of how long the sensor stays triggered, giving downstream equipment a consistent signal.
Why timing beats a longer sensor cable
Many nuisance-trip problems are timing problems rather than sensing problems. A sensor that chatters as product wobbles past, or a signal that ends too soon for the next station to act on, is fixed with a delay far more cheaply than by re-engineering the mechanics.
Key features
- Adjustable timing set on the unit, no programming required.
- On-delay, off-delay and pulse modes.
- Relay output — NO, NC and common contacts.
- Powers the sensor as well as processing its signal.
- Power and relay status LEDs.

How to order
Tell us the sensing gap, the target material, your supply voltage and the output type your controller needs. If you are replacing an existing sensor, a photograph of the body markings is usually enough for us to identify an equivalent. We will confirm the specification and quote — normally the same day.

Frequently asked questions
What timing range is available?
Ranges are selected to suit the application. Tell us the delay you need — fractions of a second up to minutes — and we will supply a unit with the appropriate range and adjustment resolution.
Can one unit do both on-delay and off-delay?
Tell us how you need the function to behave and we will confirm which unit covers it. Many applications need only one mode, and choosing the right single-function unit is simpler and cheaper.
Need a quote for the Timer Control Unit?
Send us your application — target material, sensing distance, supply voltage and housing constraint. We will recommend a part, quote it, and ship from Mumbai.
